It is important that all items on this work list are completed prior to beginning the actual staging process.

Some of the things you might expect to see on this list include:
 

	In depth cleaning of flooring surfaces; this involves deep carpet cleaning and necessary repairs to wood, laminate or ceramic flooring
	De-cluttering of closets, kitchen cabinets, living spaces and storage areas such as garages or workshops. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to start, your action plan will prioritize and detail what you need to focus on.
	Cleaning and freshening appliances
	Preliminary packing and storage of excess goods and furnishings
	Sanitizing food prep areas and bathrooms
	Patching and repairing sheetrock damage, including nail holes, cracks and wall dings
	Cleaning and repairing grout and plumbing fixtures as necessary
	Sourcing and eliminating persistent odors
	Trimming of landscaping
	Replacing light bulbs
	Cleaning windows, light fixtures and mirrors
